, cooler than what i just -- colder than what i just showed you. 43, santa rosa. 41, napa. upper 30s at novato, fairfield, concord, and livermore so you know it's going to be cold in those locations overnight. and now a beautiful view of a clear sky over the bay bridge from our exploratorium camera. these are our forecast features. a freeze warning in effect, "spare the air" alert for tomorrow, that's the second consecutive day. we had one today as well. and chilly days ahead. chilly afternoons on monday and tuesday, before we start to get a break in the cold snap. here's the pacific satellite image. you can see the movement of weather systems today. cold front moved south of us. the cold air continues to spill behind the clouds, moving into southern california, and clear skies in the bay area. so at 7:00 this evening, you won't see much happen overnight in terms of sky conditions. it will remain clear but temperatures will drop and they won't rise much tomorrow. so it's going to be another chilly day. overnight tonight look for low temperatures dropping to 21 at napa. 23 at santa ro

, 66. we have 58 in napa. fairfield, 59 degrees. livermore, are you at 64 degrees. and a beautiful shot from our cam right now. here's a look at our forecast. cooler tomorrow. i put in a chance of a few light showers. mainly in the north bay. i'll show you why in just a moment. cold and windy through the entire week. a freezing warning will more than likely be issued as we head into wednesday morning, thursday morning, and friday morning, so keep that in mind if you have tender plans out there. the wind is going to be a factor too. i saw a lot of people out there putting up their holiday decorations and lights today. make sure they're secure. bring everything out so those big balloon things will end up down the street as we head into tuesday and wednesday. overnight lows, 30s in the north bay. 40s elsewhere. we'll see a few high clouds. maybe not as cold tonight. i want to show you the water vapor imagery because you can get a sense that this is the low, and it is coming straight down and the pool of cold air is just going to settle over the bay area. there is a little bit of moisture a

it will be in the afternoon. santa rosa, 59. fairfield same thing. napa, 57. your time to get up to head to the sierra would be really to wait up thursda until thursday. that's when you'll have dry weather. slight chance of showers in the bay area tonight. colder pattern for the rest of the week and we're looking at a freeze watch to begin tuesday night. it will run right on through thursday morning. here's what is bringing the freezing cold conditions. it's a cold front up to the north. that is going to work its way southward. maybe an isolated light shower, but really that's not the what i'm concerned about. i'm concerned about the much colder air behind the front. here is a look at the computer animation. isolated shower hit or miss. once we start to see the clearing behind the front, the cold area will settle in, it could be the coldest of the season. and as you take a look at the temperature trend for santa rosa, pretty much spells out who will be hit by the freeze first. 29 wednesday morning. thursday, 24 degrees. temperatures will start to come up friday, saturday. tomorrow morning, not concerned abo
